Transport terms
Transport, customs and forwarding assignments undertaken by VG Transport ABare carried out under VG Transport's conditions of carriage and NSAB 2015 (the General Conditions of the Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders), with the exception of the time guarantee in § 7 paragraph 2 and storage in § 25 A paragraphs 2 and 4 and § 25 B point 1.
VG Transport assumes overall forwarder responsibility towards the client and steers the delivery from booking to final delivery. The physical transport work is performed through a quality-assured network of transport partners.
Liability and compensation: Our liability is governed by these terms, NSAB 2015 and mandatory law (including CMR for international road transport). Compensation for loss or damage is limited in amount – to 8.33 SDR/kg for international road transport and 150 SEK/kg for domestic road transport – and does not normally correspond to the full value of the goods. We therefore recommend that you take out separate cargo insurance for the full value.
Claims: Visible damage or shortage must be noted immediately on receipt on the consignment note (CMR) or proof of delivery (POD). Hidden damage must be reported to us as soon as possible, and no later than seven (7) days after delivery. Claims are generally time-barred after one (1) year.
Payment and booking: Invoices fall due 10 days after the invoice date unless otherwise agreed. A booking may be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed loading time; for later changes or cancellation, a minimum of 80% of the agreed freight is invoiced.
The complete conditions of carriage are provided with the quote and booking and can be requested at [email protected].
